Our Services

Services
We have vocational related services for individuals starting as early as 14 years of age and going all the way through to retirement.

Pre-ETS
If a person is between the ages of 14-21, is involved in some form of high school program such as regular brick and mortar school, online school, self-study, GED, or even homeschooling, and if that person is on a 504 or an IEP, they qualify for Pre-Employment Transitions Services (Pre- ETS) funded through the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (IDVR). Through these services, we place students into a work experience. Typically, it is a paid experience for 60 hours. If the student is not on a 504 or an IEP, but has a visual impartment, they could qualify for this
program through the Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ICBVI). In that case, the work experience is typically up to 120 hours. In either situation, one-on-one support is available as needed by a certified Vocational Trainer.

Pre-Employment Training
In some cases, people come to us for job placement, but they need some initial training to get them up to speed on some skill set, such as interviewing of money handling to be a cashier. Prior to starting their new job, we can provide this training.

Pre-Employment Evaluation
In some circumstances, a person may be interested in getting a job but there is some uncertainty if they are “work ready”. We may be able to perform a Community Based Work Evaluation (CBWE) in coordination with IDVR. To help answer this question. The individual is temporarily placed in a job setting, accompanied by a certified Vocational Trainer, and paid for the time worked on this evaluation. The trainer is with them the entire time for support and evaluative purposes. This service can be anywhere from 5 – 40 hours based on the need as determined by IDVR.

Job Placement
We also offer straight up job placement services. This is a customized service based on the needs of the client. We can do everything from helping to build a resume, to finding appropriate job openings, assisting in the application process, accompanying the client to interviews, and helping them get through the new employee onboarding process as well.

Short Term Support
Some folks, when they get a new job, need some help acclimating to their new work environment, learning their new tasks, or navigating the soft skills requirements of their new job. We can provide one-on-one support from a certified Vocational Trainer as needed.

Long Term Support
This is much like the short-term support just explained, but it is for ongoing needs a client may have. For those with a significant developmental disability or cognitive impairment, this may be provided if the person qualifies for the services through either the Developmental Disability waiver or the Aged and Disabled waiver through Medicaid – Department of Health and Welfare (DHW). The services can be up to 100%, meaning that if the person is at work, we are with them. This is a needs-based service, and the level of support is based on the client’s need. Another option through DHW is the Extended Employment Services program. If a person has need for support, has no other funding options available, and has a documentable evaluation demonstrating the need for support, this program is the safety net that makes sure they have funding for that support. This is not diagnosis related, it is just needs based. The amount of support is needs based and can be as little as 30 minutes a week on up to 100%.

Benefits Planning
We also offer services to help a client understand the impact of their job-related income on other services they receive, such as through SSI/SSDI, food stamps, VA, the SNAP program, etc. We have benefits planners who are certified by Cornell University to help people understand the exact amount they can make and exactly how various work-related income levels will impact all of their other benefits. This includes a final report outlining their specific circumstances and a meeting with the benefits planner to go through that report, so the client understands the details of any potential impact they are facing. Employment Network/Ticket to Work
We are in the process of becoming an employer network, so that we can provide services through the Ticket to Work program.

Cost
All long-term services are funded through DHW. All other services are funded through either IDVR or ICBVI. None of our services ever cost our clients or their employers anything, unless they do not qualify for services through one of our funding sources and the client would like to private pay for our help.
